Agent: Fred Taylor not arrested

Well, it looks like we have some good news coming out about Fred Taylor’s “incident” the other day. Per rotoworld:

According to his agent, Fred Taylor was not arrested at a Miami nightclub incident early Saturday.
Said his agent, “It’s nothing more than a ticket. . . . He was never formally arrested, never booked, didn’t post a bond and he has not been charged with anything. We’re pretty confident obviously that he won’t be charged with anything.” It sounds minor enough not to get in Taylor’s way of playing this season. Aug. 30 – 10:08 pm et

“Apparently, what Fred was cited for had nothing to do with why they came there,” Swickle said. “They put Fred and other people out there up against cars, they searched Fred for guns and drugs, and Fred and the officer had choice words with each other. The police apparently decided that’s disorderly conduct.”

I may have sounded a bit harsh on Freddy yesterday. It’s just tough seeing your favorite player mentioned on the wrong side of the law. I hope everything runs its course and is all OK. Based on the news today, I don’t foresee Fred getting suspended by the league at all.
